Apologies

Saturday, August 6th, 2005

I’m sorry to anyone who comes here from the Blogathon site. I registered for the ‘thon much too late and was unable to procure any sponsors due to my extremely busy week. However, I will be partaking in this event next year, and I will still be doing it for NORML.

I’d still like to urge anyone who visits this site to consider donating to NORML. I consider this a very worthy cause because donations (specifically those to the NORML Foundation) go to helping people who are (or will be) imprisoned as a result of the totally needless and politically self-serving ban on a plant which has been used for thousands of years industrially, medically, spiritually, and personally with hardly an adverse effect (unless you consider a “high” an adverse effect). George Washington grew hemp, Thomas Jefferson grew hemp. Until 1937, most people were encouraged to grow this plant.

Today, a single plant can land you in prison for decades.

It needs to stop.

You can help stop it.

Public Service Announcement

I know a lot of you use Myspace. I just had to let you know this in case you didn’t already know.

Myspace has been bought out by News Corporation. That’s right, everybody’s favorite right-wing wacko news organization now has the email addresses of every emo kid on the planet.

If you like the fact that Newscorp now owns Myspace, then I have a little logical argument for you. Let’s lay out the premises…

  1. If you like Myspace, then you like Newscorp.
  2. If you like Newscorp, then you like Bill O’Reilly.

Or in symbolic logic:

Now there’s only one conclusion that can be drawn from these premises, but I’m going to make you go to the next page to see it.

*If you are faint of heart, you probably shouldn’t look at this. *
