Along with my announced launch last Friday, I’d today like to announce the launch of www.topchefmiami.net

I’m a huge fan of The Bravo TV show Top Chef. I watched Seasons 1 and 2 religiously. This season, I’m going to be blogging it. Wish me well.

I went to the Problogger Meetup at The Speakeasy on Amsterdam Ave in New York last night. It was a fun trip - the first time I’ve ever ventured in to New York without even a friend and it was a lot of fun. I got four free drinks (three compliments of Chitika, one compliments of Abby, the cute bartender) and I talked to a few interesting folks. Most notably of the bunch were of course Darren himself, but also Aaron Brazell of b5media, Perry Klaussen at Hoboken411.com, Nick O’Neill from Capital Interactive, and Adam Edwards from HitTail.

It was a great night, and I enjoyed the company of everyone I met. I’m looking forward to the next one.

I’d like to announce the launch of the Pink Eyed Jim Worldwide Network of sites. I know I’m usually notable in my absence, but I have still been working away. Here’s a brief list of the now functioning sites and their purposes.

• Pink Eyed Jim Worldwide - otherwise known as this site. It will continue to be my personal blog and the source for all news regarding the network as a whole.
• Blunt Notes - the new source for pot culture and pot law and pot politics, run by blogger Mauricio Enigma who gives the site a unique perspective on all things pot.
• Stephen Colbert ‘08 - a mock presidential campaign website for Stephen Colbert, we’ve recently made a deal with San Fransisco’s Alex Brant-Zawadzki and he will be posting soon!
• Fucking Nasty Shit - my other baby, a Not Safe for Work or Minors site dedicatdd to the sharing and discussion of the ‘net’s most disgusting media. Also contains a blog and a Thumbnail Gallery Post.
• I’ve got more in the works, and I’ll announce them on this site when they go live!

Also, I’m planning on attending Darren Rowse’s Problogger NY Bloggers Meetup tomorrow night in New York. Apparently anyone who’s anyone in the NYC metro area blogoshpere (eww I used that word….) will be there. Let me know if you’re coming. I thought Mauricio would be able to make it, but I’ll be flying solo for the night, methinks.

The flagship of Pink Eyed Jim Worldwide has set sail. This is surely a historic moment. Trust me.
